The Lake Oswego Mothers Club, through the Giving Trees program, provides needed items to the Clackamas Women’s Services shelter every year. Since 1985, this emergency shelter has cared for survivors of domestic or sexual violence. An estimated one in eight Oregon women are survivors of these acts. Each year, the Clackamas Women’s Services receives more than 5,000 calls for help and 350 of those women and children find shelter here. This non-profit organization has dedicated itself to ending domestic and sexual violence against women and children while touching more than 70,000 lives in the community.

The LOMC Giving Trees will be located in local stores with ornaments attached. These ornaments describe needed items that may be purchased from the sponsor store or elsewhere. Simply take an ornament, purchase the unwrapped item and place it in the large bin, under the tree. The bin will be collected on a weekly basis until the week of Christmas.

We realize that there are many families in need every year and without the support of all of us, this wouldn’t be possible. No gift is too small and giving and volunteering is a great way to show your children what’s really important in life. We thank you for your support with the Giving Trees and hope for another successful year of giving.
